Business Coaching
Lived it. Still do.
I spent ten years building a small business with my husband before becoming a therapist and launching my own private practice from scratch. Now I bring that same operator's mindset to a handful of business coaching clients, pairing what I know about running something real with what I've learned about how people actually change.

No. Coaching isn’t a clinical service. There’s no diagnosis, no treatment plan, and no clinical file. Think of it as a working relationship focused on where you want to go, not a process for working through what’s happened. If you’re navigating something that sounds more like therapy once we start talking, I’ll say so directly.
-
I keep these two roles separate on purpose. If you’re currently seeing me for therapy, I won’t also coach you. If you’re coaching with me, I won’t be your therapist. That gets confusing fast for both of us, and it’s not good (or ethical) practice. If it turns out you need therapy instead, I’m happy to talk about options, including referring you to some of the amazing therapists I know.
-
Individual coaching sessions start at $200/50 minute session. Structured and custom-built packages are also available.
-
No. Coaching is private pay only & isn’t billed through insurance the way therapy sessions are.
-
I take your privacy seriously, but coaching doesn’t carry the same legal confidentiality protections as therapy does. There's no legal privilege protecting what we discuss, and I'm not bound by HIPAA for this work. That said, I don't discuss your sessions with anyone else, and I'll always tell you directly if I ever need to break that (for example, a genuine safety concern). I keep light notes for my own reference and will let you know if that ever changes.

It happens, and it’s not a big deal when it does. If something surfaces or continues to come up that’s outside the scope of coaching, I’ll name it, & we’ll figure out next steps together.
-
You can book a single 50-minute session for a specific question or meaningful “gut check,” or purchase a multi-session package to address your business in a more structured way.
Sessions are available virtually or in person at my east Wichita office.

Have one specific thing to work through? Book a single session - no commitment beyond the hour.

For people with an existing business that’s stalled, stagnant, or just not working the way you want. We’ll figure out what’s actually broken, build a plan to fix it instead of just working harder at the same approach (definition of insanity, anyone?)
-
5 Session Package: For people starting or rebuilding from scratch. We’ll work through your website & marketing, pricing structure, contracts, and policies. By the end: a clear plan instead of eleven tabs open and a migraine.
-
If your situation doesn’t fit neatly into one of the above, we can scope a custom package together that is tailored to what you actually need.
Must book at least 2 sessions to keep the $175/hour package rate.

5 Coaching Sessions
Are you a new grad and have no idea what do to now? Or leaving a group practice with zero support or direction? You’re in the right place!
As a business owner, it’s imperative you understand how your business actually operates, not just how to do therapy well.
Think guidance, not implementation. I’ll walk you through what needs to happen and in what order, things like which profiles to get, understanding your credentialing, to ideas about up your office and marketing.
I won’t be setting up your EHR, building your specific workflows, or doing the paperwork for you (though I can point you toward folks who will!). Think of it as a roadmap or second pair of eyes, not outsourcing the work.
Disclaimer: This coaching is based on Kansas licensing and business requirements. If you’re licensed in another state, check your own state’s specific rules for what’s required of clinicians starting a private practice - requirements around credentialing, entity setup, and licensure can vary significantly.

Where You’re Coming From: The initial session will be partly getting to know you and your goals for your practice. The second half will be more defined; whether you’re exiting a group practice or wrapping up your internship, we’ll cover what you can and can’t take with you. From contracts, non-competes, client transition rules, and the ethical/legal guidelines around bringing clients from an internship/former practice site.
Entity & Insurance: LLC setup, EIN, malpractice insurance. The paperwork that actually matters.
Credentialing and Billing: steps to take before starting insurance paneling timelines, and deciding between private pay and insurance (or both).
Space and Systems: what to consider for your office/telehealth, and questions to ask before picking an EHR or scheduling system.
Getting Clients: Website, referral sources, and how to build (or rebuild) the pipeline you’ll need going forward.
-
Grad school doesn’t prepare you for any of this, and leaving a group practice on a short timeline with no idea what to do next definitely didn’t either.
This package is everything I wish someone had walked me through before I had to figure it out myself, so you don’t have to learn it the same way I did (though the occasional crash-out is expected, and welcomed).

Already gone through the package and want more support? Additional sessions are available at the same discounted rate: $175/session
