Why ‘The Margins?’

In literature, the margins are where readers wonder, challenge, and reflect. In therapy, we do something very similar.

Not everything we carry fits into clear narratives.

Some things feel unsettled. Some feel contradictory. Some things simply need space before they begin to make sense.

The Margins was created as a space for those experiences. A space where complexity is met with curiosity, and where relief that often follows exploration and processing has somewhere to land.

All are welcome here.

We are committed to providing a therapy space that is affirming, respectful, and inclusive of people of all races, ethnicities, cultures, gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, spiritual backgrounds, and abilities. Discrimination of any kind has no place in our practice.

Sadie Steiner, MFT Student Intern

Sadie is an MFT Graduate Student Intern working with adults, couples, and college students.

Sadie approaches therapy with curiosity about the bigger picture: how the systems, relationships, and contexts we've lived inside shape the way we see ourselves and the world. Her work is collaborative and warm, and she is committed to creating a space that is inclusive and affirming for everyone, including LGBTQ+ individuals and couples.

Sadie has a particular interest in the ways our bodies and minds are connected, and how physiological responses show up in our emotional lives. She also brings personal understanding to her work with families impacted by addiction and substance use. She enjoys working with people navigating emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, self-worth, intimacy, social connection, and the disorientation that often comes with life transitions.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and is completing her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy.

In her everyday life, Sadie enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family and her chocolate lab, Moose. Coffee is non-negotiable. She has made her peace with this.

Sadie is currently accepting cash-pay clients only. Please contact us to learn more about her availability and rates.
